In Master program, the courses are emphasize on both computer networks
and communication systems
to catch up the trend of integrating internet and telecommunication.
Cable communication and wireless communication are the crucial parts in
this program. Subdivided from digital communication systems , the core
courses of the curriculum, digital communication technologies such as
CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) technology and TDMA (Time Division
Multiple Access) technology are well discussed and developed. In
addition, the department is planning to give students a series of
courses regarding RF circuit design, antenna design, and network
planning of mobile communication system--the most needed technologies in
the industry. Moreover, applying multimedia on networks including both
cable network and wireless network is also emphasized.
In under-graduated courses, for comprehensive knowledge of computer,
communication and telecommunication, there are two major groups of
required courses and other related fundamental courses--computer
(including computer system and internet) and communication (including
primary theory ofcommunication and E lectromagnetic wave ) in
undergraduate program. Elective courses are divided into three
concentrations. They are digital communication system, wireless
communication, and 3C integrated technology. The concentration of
digital communication system focuses on digital modulation, digital
transmission, and communication system design ; the concentration of
wireless communication focuses on electromagnetic wave, RF circuit, and
mobile communication system; the concentration of 3C integrated
technology otherwise focuses on internet, communication protocol,
network setting, multimedia data processing, and network application of
System-On-a-Chip.
